Our Employment Impact

At MDS, we believe that mentorship is only the beginning. Young women thrive when they are equipped with practical skills, real‑world experience, and access to organizations that believe in their potential. Our Employment Pathways initiative bridges the gap between learning and opportunity—supporting young women to transition confidently from mentorship into meaningful work.

Through strategic partnerships with employers, nonprofits, and industry leaders, we create hands‑on internships, project placements, leadership opportunities, and career‑building experiences. These pathways not only transform individual lives but also strengthen workplaces with diverse, motivated, and purpose‑driven emerging talent.

Through MDS Mentoring Program, delivered in partnership with AKF Ghana, Gifty participated in three cohorts from 2021 to 2024. During this time, she received personalized guidance, skills development, and consistent support that helped shape her professional growth.

Gifty later joined MDS as a Research Intern, where her talent, commitment, and drive quickly stood out. Today, she serves as our Operations Lead, supporting program delivery and empowering other young women to reach their full potential.

Her story reflects what is possible when motivated young women are connected with mentors, opportunities, and organizations willing to invest in emerging talent. We are incredibly proud of Gifty. Her dedication, hard work, and passion continue to inspire our community.
