✨ Skills Workshop: ✨
This workshop featured 3 experienced mentors with expertise in different fields who shared their insights and experiences on building a career, career transitioning & use of social media and entrepreneurship. This was held on June 24, 2025, as part of our 2024/25 cohort's schedule.
Mentee feedback;
- " I have learned that skills gained from past experiences can be valuable in a new career. I've also discovered that most people change careers 3 to 7 times, which has taught me to put less pressure on myself to choose the perfect job right now. Methods such as creating a skills matrix to identify my strengths, along with personal reflection, are equally important in helping me find a career that aligns with my values. "
✨ Skills Workshop: Teresa Richards✨
The "Stand Out, Not Burn Out" workshop, held on March 15, 2025, aimed to empower our mentees with strategies to manage stress, set healthy boundaries, and differentiate between high standards and perfectionism. The workshop was delivered online and included interactive sessions, breakout discussions, and action planning.

- "We thank them so much for sharing their knowledge, ideas, and time on how to deal with stressful situations. It has been very helpful to us since most of us go through stressful situations. I hope that through this knowledge we shall share it with others so that they can learn how to deal with stress now and in the future."
✨ Mentee Spotlight: Agnes Fusese✨
Our mentee spotlight took place on 8th February 2025 with participants from both AKF and MADNow joining the session. Agnes shared her mentoring journeys and successes as a mentee in 3 mentoring cohorts.

Amanda Alexander, visionary and founder of Female Dignity CIC along with Bukky Ayoade, Founder of Vibrant Midlife Wellness Practice CIC, joined Audrey Bampoe, MDS CEO, for a unique opportunity to discuss their commitment and dedication to women's health and wellbeing.

MDS Mentoring Program was pleased to have had a fireside chat with Lisa Taylor-Stone.
Lisa provided such inspiration and encouragement in everything that she shared.
From the importance of ‘knowing who you are’, ‘acknowledging that your name is a brand and the need to protect it’, to entrepreneurial tips on how to turn a competitor into a collaborator by applying ‘blue ocean vs red ocean principles’
All the attendees, MDS mentees, mentors and guests were transfixed by her enthusiasm and passion for sharing her experiences

MDS successfully presented a networking event Panel discussion: Steering your Career with authenticity and presence with Ekua Cant, Career Coach, Be Your No.1 Cheerleader Ekua is an author and career coach. She is neurodivergent with Dyslexia and Dyscalculia and Remi Baker is CEO of Wondrous a leading people development consultancy and her work is underpinned by her board-level experience.
MDS has planned a networking event in Regents Park, London in August 2022.
To provide all who have been involved in MDS and are available with an opportunity to meet in person.
It encouraged networking, socialising and MDS branded gifts

Not deterred by the UK train strike many of the Mentors met for a great networking opportunity and were gifted new MDS branded merchandise designed by WearGhana.. Contact MDS for more information on the merchandise and design.

June 2022 saw the second event in the MDS mentoring program series.
This inspirational event was a 'Fireside Chat with Jenny Oklikah' CEO of International Charity Fight For Peace. This events offered the attendees an insight into the journey to CEO and an opportunity to ask questions to develop and elevate their own careers to new heights.
January 2022 saw the launch of the MDS mentoring program mentor inspirational event series. This amazing event delivered a workshop presented by Beverley Manley former first lady of Jamaica, an established broadcaster, an accomplished author, model, and mother.
Entitled “Unlocking your story and finding your voice. A mentor workshop with Beverley Manley”.
This event was applauded by all who attended many found the event Inspirational, thought provoking, empowering and motivational.
